Welcome to SAPHRA

SAPHRA is the St Albans residents' association covering Sopwell Lane, Albert Street, Pageant Road, Pearces Walk, Hart Road, Keyfield Terrace, Saracens Head Yard and The Ryder Seed Mews Estate. The association was originally set up in response to residents concerns over building developments, traffic, parking problems and crime in the area. Our first Annual General Meeting was held on November 19th 1995.

It is SAPHRA's aim to find out the views of residents on local issues and to act as a pressure group in support of these views to ensure that the best is done for our area. We endeavour to foster community spirit by keeping residents informed on local issues via our meetings, emails and occasional events. We are a co-opted member of St Albans District Council's City Neighbourhoods Committee and a member of the Central Combined Residents Associations. Our annual general meeting is now held each January.

SAPHRA was set up so that the residents could have a voice. We need you to tell us what you think, so that we may best represent everyone. If you have any views or concerns about local issues please let us know. You can reach us through the Contact page, or join us at one of our meetings.
